It was used in the Western Electric 75-a, 75-b, 77-a and 78-b amplifiers as well many other we devices. This tube has the etched glass and serial number: x41194. The tubes are in nice physical condition as you can see photographs.

The tubes were tested on a signal corps i-177b tube tester. The we 259-A is a tutored with an indirectly heated cathode.
