Details:

I had about 1500 volts on the second anode and brightness control was all way up.

One good condition Ken-rad 5BP4 crt. Brightness was fairly good, it would probably work in an early tv for darkened room viewing. The metal shell around base is split in several places, this a very common problem but if one supports plug wafer while inserting or removing tube from socket it has no impact on operation.

As a way of testing it I cobbled together simple circuit to display Lissajous and took photo in semi-darkened room.
