Details:

I had to make an adapter test these tubes in my Hickok 539c tube tested shown pictures used a set for 6l6 with twelve volt filament. These were a matched pair pulled from rl globe champion transmitter. Both tubes are in very good condition with lots of life left and a hefty reserve emission as I lowered the bias voltage . The tv4 indicated readings of 96 and 98 out 120 in range.

I also tested these tu and verified bes in a tv4d u this is shown the last two pictures. I selected the bias voltage and other test parameters from data sheet supplied by Amperex. I tests cutoff voltage for class b service 40vdc and achieved a with approximately 30vdc trans conductance under operation was measured at 4800umhos one tube 4600umhos the second.

The pictures show tubes in tester and typical meter reading for bias, trans conductance plate current. I replaced these tubes with a pair of 4-65as that are easier to find and less expensive. This is a pair of Amperex 6083 ax9909 power vacuum tubes.
