Pros of buying 6SH7GT NOS (New Old Stock) vacuum tubes from Hickok:

1. Authenticity: NOS tubes are original, manufactured during the golden age of vacuum tube production, ensuring a consistent and reliable performance.

2. Sound Quality: NOS tubes are often praised for their rich, warm, and detailed sound, which can enhance the overall audio experience in vintage or modern audio equipment.

3. Durability: NOS tubes are often of higher quality than newer tubes, due to the care and craftsmanship put into their production during the 1950s and 60s.

4. Collectibility: NOS tubes are highly sought after by audio enthusiasts, making them a valuable investment for collectors.

Cons of buying 6SH7GT NOS vacuum tubes from Hickok:

1. Cost: NOS tubes can be expensive, especially when compared to newer tubes.

2. Availability: NOS tubes can be hard to find, and may not always be available for immediate purchase.

3. Compatibility: NOS tubes may not always be compatible with modern amplifiers or preamps, requiring additional modifications or adaptors.

4. Risk of Damage: NOS tubes can be more fragile and sensitive to handling, increasing the risk of damage during shipping or installation.

Conclusion:

Buying 6SH7GT NOS vacuum tubes from Hickok can provide a richer, more authentic audio experience, but it comes with a higher cost and potential compatibility issues. If you are an audiophile or collector, and have the budget and equipment to support it, NOS tubes can be a worthwhile investment. However, for casual listeners or those looking for a more affordable option, newer tubes may be a better choice.

Recommendation:

If you are looking to upgrade your audio system with NOS tubes, I would recommend conducting research on your specific amplifier or preamp to ensure compatibility and checking the market for availability and pricing before making a purchase. It may also be beneficial to consult with a knowledgeable audio specialist or fellow enthusiast to ensure you are making an informed decision.

Details:

I try to resolve any issue both our best interests.

All tubes purchased have loads of life left in them. So take a good look. Light and medium scratching. Most have one.

In photographs we occasionally use props to display items the best light possible. This means that I have tested something not to its full extent. Slightly heavier than above.

Rectifiers and diode tubes do not have trans conductance values. The numbers letters in parentheses are equivalents put to help people find correct tube. So this shows what I get, and you get may be slightly different.

Vacuum tube testing I do not sell just passable tubes. Fair - the CD. Record plays, sometimes skips. It is up to you make a judgment call and decide if worth the risk of buying.

I make mistakes once in a while. Like new - used but no obvious signs of use. Medium to heavy scratching.

Or if this is in grading regard to the case cover then there may be cracks torn has rips along its edges scuffed quite badly. Hickok tested I have had to re-box one as the original box it was in such poor condition would offered no protection at all tube shipping. If you're unhappy with an item.

I also sometimes use a hickok 752 for testing if state any values they are guide only.

Use the zoom function and have a good look. By buying on this item you agree to these stipulations and follow the instructions of post office, or carrier. I have 4 of these machines and all display a slightly differing value if test the same tube, as two testers are never.

Very good plus - used, some light scratching to either the case or CD record. If it does not say matched then please do consider them to be such.

They will normally want to see the item and packing. May be good or above.

Or have only gone so far to test it.

I am not a huge retail outlet. Then they are not included in the sale.

This is a process, and it takes time. I do not publish test results in the listing as what get, and someone else might get can be different. If fully tested then that is what they are.

It is impossible to describe every scratch, scuff or mark. All tubes have passed the gas and short tests. Heavy scratching to the disc.

I take lots of pictures so you can see cosmetics. In regards to the case cover then this grading means or sleeve is badly torn, scuffed, cracked and falling apart. Then I have not test it.

I am quite harsh on what is good and bad. When using the word matched it means in test results rather than cosmetic looks. In these cases it is best buying on as if was broken.

I am human.

I may have the same tube but from differing years matched up in test results, which means they cosmetically or internally look a little different. Cd record still plays ok. Fully working.

It is just my opinion and I would rather paint a bleaker picture of something than saying better. In regards to the case or cover, then cover is just holding itself together.

Very good - used light scratching to both the case and CD record. I also pack well.

Photos shown in this listing are of the actual item for sale. Whilst I endeavor to put tubes together from the same year and look same, this is not always case.

So to recap. Please have a look at the pictures for cosmetic condition.

I use a tv7 u military spec tester which is calibrated. That is what they are there for. Sorry for you having to read this but would be surprised how many people think the items come with my table or a part of anatomy that I have accidentally caught on camera.

New - unopened brand new, sealed. We check and describe the as much of functionality can.

Light scratching to the case cover. Via messaging. This offer is for a. If it does not say base, stand, table in either the main body of or title.

Cd record does not play. If not fully tested, then items are to the full extent and may have something wrong that I discovered.

Cover is in good condition but has normal wear and tear. Low and weak tubes are unceremoniously thrown in the nearest trash can, unless they collectors items. May be very light scratching but not noticeable or the case cover scuffed a little excellent ware to both CD record.
