Read more about dekatron here: dekatron stuff. The last sketch uploaded, remains, even when powered off.
An A101 on the on-board socket can be used, or connector j1, used to hook up external dekatron, of your choosing. The same footprint of an arduino uni, including mounting holes.
The shipping calculator, is usually not accurate on multiple items. I have recently cancelled my mental telepathy services, so can no longer read your minds.
Its your nickel socket pins.
In kit form, get yourself an arduino shield that can power and control a dekatron. It fits the Russian A101 dekatron not included. They are the tube equivalent of decade counter incs, but performed this function in a unique and elegant way.
Also, because it has an on board switching supply, its much safer, than many of the 'direct' ac powered circuits seen web. They are shipped that way to the customer. This is all shown in the instructions at given link. A few sketches which are Arduino's term for programs, available download at the instruction page, free.
That's what kit means. Once uploaded, that sketch remains burned in, until another is and overwrites it.
There are many sources available, both on, and elsewhere online.
Contact me using messaging system. The sketches are uploaded to unis atmega328 micro controller. From now on, if its lost and you did not pay for registered mail, then that's it. Here is a video, of the doohickey in operation:shield sketch video.
More on that here.
Electrically identical, with a few cosmetic changes. That means you get a bare board, and parts. Arduino dekatron shield kit - includes all parts printed circuit board, less tube.
Power can come over either the USB connector 5v, or dc jack of uni 7vdc minimum. Actually you can possess just one arduino uni, and use it for uploading development only.
With registered mail, the package can be tracked.
5v, on the 5v rail.
They were used from 1950 to late 1960's. Only a few are listed, but I have parts boards for many more. Still, much safer than other circuits. This shield needs an arduino uni to function.
Actually, only Germany. That means the uni, will start running sketch again, when powered up again.
It also fits the a102 and a103, though I strong recommend against using these later two types. Included on this shield, is an A101 socket, its made up of the board and mole. Dekatron are remarkable tubes.
