This Machlett ml 381 is in good physical condition but has become lost from it's original box. More likely this tube was purposely taken out of it's box and placed on the shelf for convenience. After 45 years in climate controlled storage, these tubes have just been released and are new old stock most in original boxes and untested.

It would be extremely rare to find one of these pristine tubes defective. The fact that it had a nice flat end to stand it on was also a factor.

These tubes were spares for faa systems that, in some cases, dates back to the late 1930's when they were called the civil aviation authority Cara.
