I do a lot of these old PA amplifiers and things are built like tank. I included a picture of some my other examples. The Biogen Challengers are loud and rude for sure. Seven tubes in all including three 6J7 metal preamps with the top grid cap, one 6SN7 phase inverter tube, a pair of 6V6 power tubes, and 5Y3 rectifier tube.

RCA MI-12299 PA Amplifier modified into a Guitar Amp. I especially like these old RCA's because they look so cool. If desired I can put the phono input back in so that it would be more useful for Harp as well. I installed a 3-conductor grounded power cord, and all new electrolytic capacitors.

Here is an RCA MI-12287, or 88 95PA that Mad Daddy Amps has converted into a guitar. I only replaced the carbon comp resistors that did not meet specifications. I cleaned the pots where necessary and re-pensioned tube sockets as needed well. These things sound pretty nice and have a very low noise threshold.

I will include a copy of the original schematic and parts list for amp, any notes modified may be able to find around here this specific amp. I replaced other resistors and capacitors to bring the circuits up date make them safe.
