Review RCA Metal Tube Vacuum Crc Tv7 Nos Jan 100 Tested

The VT-162 Tube Vacuum TV7 NOS 12SJ7 RCA is a high-quality replacement tube for vintage television sets. This tube is specifically designed for use in 12SJ7 sockets, making it an excellent replacement for original tubes that may have worn out or failed over time.

The VT-162 is a dual triode vacuum tube, which means it has two separate electronic components within a single glass envelope. This design allows it to perform two different functions, such as amplification and oscillation, within a single device. This tube is known for its excellent performance in audio preamplifier and power amplifier circuits, making it an ideal upgrade for vintage audio systems as well.

The VT-162 is manufactured using the latest in tube technology, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. It is made with high-purity materials to minimize noise and distortion, and its glass envelope is sealed to prevent the entry of moisture or contaminants. This tube is also tested to ensure that it meets strict performance specifications, so you can be confident that it will provide reliable operation in your vintage television or audio system.

The VT-162 is a NOS (New Old Stock) tube, which means it is a brand-new tube that has been manufactured using the original specifications and techniques that were used when the tube was first introduced. This means that the VT-162 will provide the same performance and reliability as the original tubes that were used in vintage television and audio systems.

In summary, the VT-162 Tube Vacuum TV7 NOS 12SJ7 RCA is a high-quality replacement tube that is ideal for use in vintage television and audio systems. It is a dual triode vacuum tube that is known for its excellent performance in audio preamplifier and power amplifier circuits. The tube is made with high-purity materials and is sealed to prevent the entry of moisture or contaminants. It is also tested to ensure that it meets strict performance specifications, making it a reliable and long-lasting replacement for original tubes.

Pros of buying VT-162 tube vacuum TV with NOS 12SJ7 RCA tubes:

1. Authentic experience: Tube televisions offer a unique, nostalgic viewing experience that cannot be replicated by modern flat-screen TVs.

2. Superior picture quality: Tube TVs can produce a more vivid and detailed image, especially in dark scenes, than modern LCD and LED TVs.

3. Durability: Tube televisions are known for their durability and longevity, as the vacuum tubes can last for many years with proper care.

4. Customizability: Tube televisions can often be modified or upgraded to improve their performance, such as swapping out the original tubes for newer, more advanced models.

Cons of buying VT-162 tube vacuum TV with NOS 12SJ7 RCA tubes:

1. Limited availability: Tube televisions are no longer in production, so finding replacement parts and repair services can be difficult and expensive.

2. Energy consumption: Tube TVs consume more energy than modern flat-screen TVs, which can lead to higher electricity bills.

3. Size and weight: Tube televisions are much heavier and larger than modern flat-screen TVs, making them more difficult to move and position.

4. Maintenance: Tube TVs require regular maintenance, such as cleaning the tubes and aligning the picture, to ensure proper operation.

Conclusion:

Buying a VT-162 tube vacuum TV with NOS 12SJ7 RCA tubes can provide a unique and satisfying viewing experience, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. The pros of owning a tube television, such as superior picture quality and durability, can outweigh the cons for some people, while others may prefer the convenience and energy efficiency of modern flat-screen TVs. Ultimately, the decision to buy a VT-162 tube vacuum TV with NOS 12SJ7 RCA tubes depends on personal preferences and priorities.

Recommendation:

If you are interested in buying a VT-162 tube vacuum TV with NOS 12SJ7 RCA tubes, I would recommend doing your research and considering the pros and cons carefully. Make sure to budget for potential repair and maintenance costs, and be prepared to invest time in setting up and maintaining the television. If you are willing to put in the effort, a VT-162 tube vacuum TV with NOS 12SJ7 RCA tubes can provide a unique and enjoyable viewing experience. However, if you value convenience and energy efficiency above all else, you may want to consider a modern flat-screen TV instead.

Details:

This is a process, and it takes time. Suffixes that are useful when looking at tubes glass envelope, which distinguishes from a metal envelope tube ruggedest construction, meets mil 1 a us military specifications, and therefore most w tubes are us military inventory.

May be good or above. If I say untested. As soon as a tube is put into a tester, then, it is used.

So take a good look. In photographs we occasionally use props to display items in the best light possible.

Sorry for you having to read this but you would be surprised how many people think the items come with my table, the wife's legs etc.

Light scratching to the case cover. Please have a look at the pictures for the cosmetic condition. I take lots of pictures so you can see cosmetics.

This offer is for a if it does not say base, stand, table, my wife, in either the main body of the or title. If fully tested then that is what they are. Then I have not test it.

In regards to the case or cover, then the case cover is just holding itself together. It is impossible to describe every scratch, scuff or mark.

Medium to heavy scratching.

They will normally want to see the item and packing. Tv7 tested photos shown in this listing are of the actual item for sale.

Very good plus used, some light scratching to either the case or CD record. Cover is in good condition but has normal wear and tear. Vacuum tube testing I do not sell just passable vacuum tubes. If not fully tested, then items are not tested to the full extent and may have something wrong that I have not discovered.

It is just my opinion and I would rather paint a bleaker picture of something rather than saying it is better than it is.

Cd record still plays OK. So nos refers to the test results rather than it is brand new and never been out of it's box. Whilst I endeavor to put tubes together from the same year and look the same, this is not always the case.

It is up to you to make a judgment call and decide if it is worth the risk of buying.

Most have one. Light and medium scratching. When using the word matched it means in test results rather than in cosmetic looks.

Backwards compatible with earlier designs. Fully working.

If you know that both metal and glass versions were manufactured, then no suffix is a metal envelope tube example original 6l6, 6f6, 6v6, 6n6, etc were all metal envelope tubes. I try to resolve any issue to both our best interests. GB 5 glass unflappable t9 glass envelope with local base gm or mg metal coated glass envelope with octal Basel mt 8 metal envelope and octal ox basely t9 glass envelope and octal ox base metal envelope and octal Basel t9 metal envelope with local base r while not technically a suffix, Mr when stamped on tube base only means that the tube was manufactured during ww2 for maintenance and repair of civilian radios.

Cd still plays well. M r has absolutely no special audiophile connotation. If a tube has been used, even for only one second, then it is used.

Then they are not included in the sale. Cd record does not play. In these cases it is best buying on it as if it was broken.

That is what they are there for. This means that I have tested something not to its full extent.

The numbers letters in parentheses are equivalents put in to help people to find the correct tube. Rectifiers and diode tubes do not have trans conductance values.

S spray shield coating on a glass envelope Tibet short glass envelope ruggedest construction, meets mil 1 a us military specifications McNeil base example 5y3wgta conveys a ruggedest us military issue tube with a small glass envelope and newer design than original 5y3g. Slightly heavier than above. Like new used but no obvious signs of use.

Via messaging. All tubes purchased have loads of life left in them.

If I state any values they are for a guide only. Backwards compatible with earlier designs. To be frank there is no such thing as a new tube unless it has never been in a tester.

So to recap.

I can test the same tube on each tester and get differing results on each.

I am quite harsh on what is good and bad. Very good used light scratching to both the case and CD record.

Distinguishes from a metal envelope tube.

Fair the CD record plays, sometimes skips. By buying on this item you agree to these stipulations and to follow the instructions of the post office, or carrier. During ww2, military need for vacuum tubes created a large shortage of tubes that could be purchased by civilians.

The a improvements were primarily controlled heater warm up time and or low noise low hum.

Or have only gone so far to test it. May be very light scratching but not noticeable or the case cover may be scuffed a little excellent very light ware to the CD record or case cover. Heavy scratching to the disc.

Low and weak tubes are unceremoniously thrown in the nearest trash can, unless they are collectors items. I may have the same tube but from differing years matched up in test results, which means they may cosmetically or internally look a little different. In regards to the case cover then this grading means the case or sleeve is badly torn, scuffed, cracked and is falling apart.

Or if this is in grading is in regard to the case cover then there may be cracks in the case or the cover is torn, or has rips along its edges or scuffed quite badly. Example 2a3, 6a3.

Please realize when buying antique, vintage or used equipment that they cannot be in an absolute mint or absolute perfect condition, they might need some service, now or later. I make mistakes once in a while. Use the zoom function and have a good look.

All tubes have passed the gas and short tests. Hickok 752, military tv 7s etc.

A more complete list of suffixes and their exact meaning none without more context, a tube with no suffix does not tell you very much.

Backwards compatible with earlier designs.

If only one type of envelope was manufactured for that type, then no suffix simply refers to the tube being the original design of the tube.
